Papago: Data protection

Access to external resources

In order to advise you on funding opportunities, rights and obligations regarding Open Access to your publications, we access information from the University of Fribourg via a search form. In this process, your IP address is transmitted to the servers of the University of Freiburg.

Papago also uses SHERPA/RoMEO, an online resource that aggregates and analyses Open Access policies from publishers around the world, and provides summaries of self-archiving permissions and conditions of rights given to authors on a journal-by-journal basis. This way, the information sheets can be further personalised depending on the journal and the embargo period required.

Cookies

The ZHAW uses cookies on this website.
Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system through a web browser. You can at any time prevent cookies from being stored by our website by means of a corresponding setting on your internet browser and thus permanently prevent them from being placed. Moreover, previously stored cookies can be deleted at any time via your internet browser or other software programmes.

Statistics

This Website forschungsapp.zhaw.ch and its direct subpages use web analytics software (www.matomo.org). Known as tracking, this can be disabled by using the Do Not Track setting found in most internet browsers. This setting adds a Do Not Track tag to the header of the browser request, indicating that the user does not want their browsing behaviour tracked.

IT system logs

Whenever you use the internet, e.g. when accessing websites, data are automatically transmitted that, in some cases, could be classified as personal data and stored by us in what are known as system logs. The system logs are stored by the ZHAW to identify errors or for security reasons. If the data are no longer required to fulfil operational or statutory obligations, they shall be deleted.
